Many things have happened here in Brussels. Before I could finish enjoying one moment, something new would come along.

It all started with the birth of Nolan. Soon after, I received a permanent contract with Cirque du Soleil. Some people asked me, “Why don’t you look very happy?” But the truth is, I was happy — it’s just that my happiness was already shared between two amazing things.

Then, for the first time in my life, I attended a huge meetup here in Brussels — the Research and Innovation Days. I met many CEOs from different countries, and I felt proud that I managed to be part of that event.

And finally, after four long years apart, my parents came to visit us. They stayed for a week, and we shared so many emotions together. I am very proud of my family — they fight for what is right; they protect their home.
